Milana Banton, LMHC

Meet Milana Banton, LMHC, a New York University trained mental health counselor who helps adolescents and adults move from overwhelm to steadier, values-aligned living. Her work blends cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), DBT-informed skills (emotion regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness), parts work/IFS-informed language, narrative and relational therapy, and motivational interviewing within a trauma-informed, culturally responsive frame. She collaborates on clear goals and practical tools clients can use between sessions.

Milana frequently supports: anxiety and panic (including health anxiety), trauma and grief, relationship and co-parenting stress, perfectionism/people-pleasing, and major life transitions (school, career changes, separation/divorce). She also works with parents and caregivers, and survivors of coercive control/intimate partner violence. When desired, she thoughtfully integrates clients’ spiritual or cultural values into care.

If you’re feeling stuck—doom-scrolling, second-guessing, people-pleasing, or cycling through “what-ifs”, Milana will help you name patterns, build emotion-regulation skills, and practice new boundaries so relief shows up in daily life, not just in session.
