At Defining Moments, we meet you where you are.
Beginning therapy can be a big step toward being the healthiest version of yourself and living the best life possible.
Our counselors know that therapy is about YOU…your needs, your hopes, your life. We do our best to create a safe, welcoming environment for you to work on the goals we set together.
What is therapy? How does it work?
Therapy is nothing more than training. It is the science of self-improvement for personal growth.
When some people first start in therapy, they may have some concerns; i.e., is this going to work? They are often afraid that their situation is so awful that nothing can be done; they sometimes worry if they are up to the task. If they fail or fail again, what does that mean about them?
These are all valid concerns. It has been our experience that as you progress through the work these fears and concerns begin to lessen and a confidence begins to build.
