Support for healing and clarity

Compassionate, trauma-informed care for meaningful change.

Giulia Preziuso, LMHC

Life is messy and rarely linear—and I’ve learned that the only way forward is through. After more than two decades of therapy, education, and training, I founded Defining Moments in 2009 to help individuals and couples transform their lives by breaking free from cycles of pain and achieving alignment in mind, body, and spirit.

I am a licensed therapist, Clinical Supervisor, couples counselor, yoga teacher, and author of the bestselling book, It’s Your Mother’s Fault, Now What? My career spans both the corporate and clinical worlds: I previously served on leadership teams for Fortune 500 companies, which instilled in me a strategic, solution-focused approach that I now integrate into my therapeutic and teaching work. With over a decade of clinical experience across a wide range of treatment modalities, I specialize in helping clients process trauma, strengthen resilience, improve relationships, and create measurable pathways toward growth and healing.

My dual role as a therapist and yoga teacher reflects my belief that healing is holistic—addressing not only the mind and emotions, but also the body and spirit. Whether through individual therapy, couples counseling, clinical supervision, or mindful movement practices, I am committed to equipping others with the tools they need to navigate life with clarity, balance, and purpose.

As a Clinical Supervisor, I also have the privilege of mentoring and shaping the next generation of mental health professionals, fostering their development into compassionate and effective clinicians. Through my upcoming book, I continue this mission by exploring how early influences shape us—and how we can reclaim agency to live empowered, fulfilling lives.

Above all, my work is grounded in trust, honesty, and collaboration. I believe pain and suffering, while difficult, serve a purpose—and when explored with courage, they can become powerful catalysts for transformation.
